Tank Bund Blues
Thanks Rajeev. for the invite.
(No I do not mind being called DVP. In fact, I would prefer that address in my present avataram!
I have had many names depending upon the context and by group references such as family, etc. But of that later.... but this one is cool for now.
There is one very busy highway in Toronto called D.V.P. (Don Valley Parkway. So when I introduce myself over phone or otherwise as such ( that I am DVP) , I always manage to elicit a good chuckle. Then I go on and on about about how long and tedious our Andhra names could be etc.. etc... Anyway the good side of it is that they will never forget my name after that introduction. )
Coming to Tank Bund Blues.... my question is what would it take to get this band to re-group and jam? If it is sheer logistics alone, it stands a very good chance. Well it is not that it should happen right away but ...... first the Band need to jam .... a lot....
It is difficult for me to articulate my feelings towards Som but let me say this much.... after watching him wistfully describe his vibes about the Band, I am looking forward for the day to watch/listen the Band in action. Please guys ... you have something very precious . Please do not let it wither away...
I may not post frequently but I sure would be monitoring this blog closely.
Regards,
Greetings and best wishes for a happy holiday season & New Year.

Identity
So, what makes a brown man dig classic rock?
We all I guess grapple with this question.
Classic rock of course is predominantly anglosaxon. And that means British. Sure we've had the Grateful Dead, JJ Cale, The Doors, Dylan et al, but mostly its Brit.
So, where do we stand? Well, on the plus side, sure we admire James Watt and Isaac Newton and all that - but, for the half a millenium of oppression we've gone through, the preponderant tendency on our part should be rejection of the Brit ethos.
So, in balance, what do they have that we should value, culturally speaking?
Well, the answer is - classic rock.
Can't shake it off, all things considered.
Dunno why.
And this "dunno why" is why I guess our band is a blues band.
This is a thread we should keep posting to, my friends. Need to figure out why we're into this game at all.

new mode of communication
Say, we've known dialog. How about paralog now?
The prefix is based off of types of magnetism.
viz.
"
Diamagnetism is a property of all materials and opposes applied magnetic fields, but is very weak. Paramagnetism, when present, is stronger than diamagnetism and produces magnetization in the direction of the applied field, and proportional to the applied field.
"
So, PARALOG should be "along the field", and stronger than DIALOG.
HowZ that sound? Let's communicate in Paralog!
